Windows 7 Upgrade Chart from Windows Vista and Windows XP Computers

Hello all Windows users who are planning to Windows 7 upgrade from Windows XP or from Windows Vista systems,

Microsoft has released a chart Windows 7 official Upgrade Chart for Windows XP and Windows Vista users who want to upgrade to windows 7.

Windows 7 official Upgrade Chart offers and explains ways how to upgrade to windows 7 from Windows Vista Editions or Windows 7 upgrade from Windows XP systems.

The chart is self explaining on which current version of Windows Vista edition can be upgrade to which Windows 7 Editions.

You can not upgrade a 32-bit Windows Vista system to a 64-bit Windows 7 system.
Users also can not upgrade to windows 7 from Windows XP. Windows XP users should perform a clean installation.
But they can use the Windows Easy Transfer tool to migrate their data and settings.

Windows users can upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate Edition from any Windows Vista Edition.

And other options are only for upgrade from Windows Vista to corresponding Windows 7 Editions.

In all other cases, Windows users should perform custom installation which means a clean install of Windows 7, or dual boot on computer.
