Happy to hear from Microsoft about a new Beta Exam!
Especially when this beta exam 71-680 is about the new Windows operating system Windows 7.
Microsoft has announced to some selected exam takers about the availability of the new Windows7 MCTS Beta exam 71-680 TS : Windows 7, Configuring from the 27th of April, 200.
If you success in the beta exam 71-680: TS: Windows 7, Configuring
you will have the credits towards the MCTS: Windows 7, Configuration
If you get successfull in the beta exams they are just like the final released exams. I mean you will be counted as you have passed the final released version of 71-680, which will be named as 70-680 TS : Windows 7, Configuring.
If you fail, this will not be seen on your transcript.
Another good news about the beta exams is they are free. Microsoft sends an invitation to some selected exam takers to take the related beta exam for free.
And exam takers can register through Prometric exam center by using a voucher or promotional code which enables a free exam.
If you use the promotional code WIN7J
for Windows7 beta exam 71-680: TS: Windows 7, Configuring
during your registration on Prometric web site you will be able to attend and take
Microsoft Windows 7 Unleashed
An important point about the beta exams is that they generally last longer than you expect.
There may be a quite number of questions, generally more than the released or final version of the exam.
And as a beta exam taker, you are expected to give feedback on the questions to make the exam more reliable.
The 71-680 Beta exam registration starts at April 27, 2009
And the exam period runs during the period May 5, 2009 and May 18, 2009
