I have installed Visual Studio 2005 on my Windows Server 2008 Beta 3 operating system. A have also installed the VS 2005 Service Pack 1 directly after the VS2005 installation.
Although the Service Pack 1 is installed every time I run the Visual Studio 2005, I got a warning about the Service Pack 1 is required for Visual Studio to run successfully. After closing the warning window VS2005 works fine without any problem as far as I use it.
I know that for Visual Studio to run successfully on Windows Vista, I had to install the Visual Studio Update for Vista.

This patch installation fixed the warning message and now Visual Studio 2005 is running without any problem.
